Popeline

Il nome popeline deriva da papalina, perché la produzione di questo tessuto iniziò ad Avignone, sede del papato nel XIV secolo. È un tessuto molto compatto, finissimo e sottile caratterizzato dall'ordito più fine della Trama Tessuto. Viene fabbricato con diversi filati ed è largamente impiegato in camiceria. Il tessuto è resistente all'usura e viene spesso utilizzato per le camicie formali.

Il Popeline è un tessuto principalmente adatto a camicie invernali e di mezza stagione, anche se è comunque possibile trovare dei tessuti Popeline adatti all'estate.

Poplin

The name Poplin comes from papalina, because the production of this fabric began in Avignon, home of the papacy in the 14th century. It is a very compact, fine and thin fabric characterized by the finest warp of the Fabric Type. It is made with different yarns and is widely used in shirts. The fabric is rather wear-resistant and is often used for formal shirts.

Poplin is a fabric mainly suitable for winter and mid-season, although it is still possible to find for summer suitable Poplin fabrics.
